The trumpet adds a degree of grandeur to the wedding processional and recessional, and is a fun addition for the cocktail hour accompanying the strings with jazz and musical numbers. The flute and oboe can also be added to strings to make a very pleasing sound.

Recently we played with a very successful trio of flute, clarinet and cello. The blend of the cello with the flute and clarinet worked well, but a bassoon can be substituted for the cello if a true woodwind trio is required.
