Musica Musicians for all Occasions has been serving the Triangle area of North Carolina since 1986, providing experienced professional musicians for special events. While a good percentage of our bookings are weddings and related events, performed mostly by the string quartet or trio, we serve the Academic, Faith, and Corporate populations for Graduations, Open House receptions, Church music programs and services, including Baptisms and Funerals. Bands such as Traditional and Jazz perform for many of these functions as well. Our classical musicians perform in area orchestras and are experienced in playing many genres of music. We are therefore able to offer a variety of musical selections to complement each event. The Strings have large library of classical/light classical selections as well as showtunes, jazz and pops arrangements for the small ensembles, and many of those can be played with the flute. Each band has their own music list, and all the groups and soloists have sample soundbytes. We are happy to honor your request for special music, providing we have suitable arrangements for the group.

About Jane

Jane Salemson is a professional cellist and owner of Musica Musicians. A graduate of Dartington College of Arts and the Guildhall School of Music in England, she played with the Haifa Symphony in Israel before coming to the United States.
While raising two boys, Jane continued with orchestral and chamber music, playing in New York with the Huntington and Queens Symphonies before moving to North Carolina. With the exception of a few sojourns to Princeton and England, Chapel Hill is home. Principal cellist of the Raleigh Symphony for nineteen years, she combines her orchestral career with chamber music performances and teaching. Her twenty five plus years of experience in the wedding business have given her much insight into all types of weddings, from the most formal in cathedrals, to the informal, on a sand dune (rather windy it was too, especially for the flute player!). As business manager for Musica Musicians, Jane takes care of the other side of the job, interviewing clients, auditioning musicians, contracting, advising and generally keeping things ticking along (metronomically we hope!)
