Musica has been a part of the musical life in the
Triangle of North Carolina since 1986 by providing music
performances and products. To date these are:
MUSICA - Musicians for all Occasions,
based out of Chapel Hill, North Carolina USA, is a booking
agency providing professional musicians for social, academic
and church functions.
The Wedding Music Guide,
a booklet and demo cassette tape, gives advice on selecting
the best music for your wedding ceremony, reception or
party. Helpful suggestions on finding musicians, hiring,
financial arrangements and other important details make
this a must-have reference for the musically-challenged.
The cassette features 17 different groups from Brass to
Bluegrass, each playing 3 minute demos of their music
suitable for the wedding ceremony or reception.
Musica Plays Wedding Music. a CD
with 59 shortened pieces suitable for the prelude, ceremony
and reception. Played by 4 classical Musica ensembles.
(String trio & quartet, flute & strings trio &
quartet) these give the listeners a chance to hear and
identify many well known & not so known pieces.
Musica Plays More Wedding Music.
We are proud to announce out new CD! "Musica Plays
More Wedding Music" features 45 new sampler selections
from Renaissance to Gershwin. The CD is divided into 2
sections with narration: Prelude and Ceremony music, and
Reception music. Groups featured are the Trumpet and Strings,
the String Quartet, and Trio, Flute and Strings Quartet,
and Trio. Trumpet and Strings play Ceremony Prelude music,
(Purcell Trumpet Sonata, Torelli, Trumpet Concerto) and
Processionals. Charpentier's "Te Deum", Clarke's
"Trumpet Voluntary" and other favorites. More
Prelude selections are played by the String Quartet. Such
as Renaissance tunes, Bach's "Sheep May Safely Graze",
Schubert's "Ave Maria" as examples. The String
Trio also plays Prelude music including Piccini's "Oh
My Beloved Father". For the livelier reception music
selections there are pieces by Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin,
Gershwin, Joplin, traditional Irish, Scottish and many
others.
