*** MUSICA IN THE NEWS ***

Musica celebrates 25 years this year of providing musicians for special occasions – weddings, receptions, parties, concert series, church performances, university graduations and social functions. Our first anniversary performance with the Musica Chamber Ensemble, is on April 6th for the Good Friday Service at the University United Methodist Church in Chapel Hill. The program will include the Adagio movement from the Samuel Barber String Quartet, and several movements from Joseph Haydn’s “Seven Last Words”. Donations will be accepted to benefit the Durham KidzNotes, an organization founded on the program “El Sistema” for underserved youth. Funds are raised to provide musical instruments, sheet music and teachers for children who would not otherwise have access to them.
